Tonight's Topic:

In the past, when people though you were dead, they weren't always right. Even after remaining motionless through the wake, some folk folks would still sometimes be buried while alive. English surveys show that 1 in 25 coffins - when exumed to move the bones to ossuaries - had scratches on the inside. To help stop this, a rope would be tied to the deceased's wrist before burial and attached to a bell above ground. Thus the watcher on the 'graveyard shift' would then hear it, and the interned would be 'saved by the bell'. What would you do if you were buried alive?
