Living out of your suitcase as you trot around the world can be exhausting. And though the facilities in hostels are minimal and bus transport can be cramped, it can be the most authentic way to experience a country. How would you fare on a backpacking trip in a foreign country? Or even trekking to a distant spot within your own?
