Now that there’s about a dozen characters crowded together on the same boat, I needed to write a list to keep them all straight. I was starting to switch character’s names or invent new names (happened a few times in Chapter 2 – luckily they didn’t make it into the script).

In a nutshell, the foxes have built themselves up from successful maritime traders who controlled a few city states into a technologically advanced, militaristic, expansionistic civilization that is the most powerful force in their part of the world. But some factions are discontent with the monarchy and want to break away to form their own empires. And meanwhile, many of the neighboring civilizations are either finding themselves colonized or forced to accept the friendship of the empire.

(Still working out the details.)

Speaking of named characters, I just noticed all of the additions you made to the Characters page. Awesome!

Now what’s all this about Federations and Empires? 😮

All right, I fixed the floor. And after Stephan went to all that work to repair it.

I know I’m a big fan of the ink, but suddenly using it for the floor like this was a bit disorienting.
