The first animated was by Don Bluth and released in 1982. There was a sequel in 1998 that was wasn’t nearly as good. Not sure if it played in the theatres or was just direct-to-video. I’d recommend watching the Nostalgia Critic’s review of it rather than renting it.

Now I’m wondering… Will he turn out to be the truly evil one that April only thinks Bartholomew is?

So; was there only one ‘Mrs. Brisby vs NIMH’ movie or was there a sequel? I’ve heard reference to two titles. AndyW’s comment above is the first time I’ve heard of “Mrs. (Frisby?)Brisby and the Rats of NIMH as being a book. (…that I recall. ;-))

And yes, the magic does make it weaker with deus ex machina. But it’s still a really great movie.

For more on Daedalus, stay tuned.

Magic?! And Nicodemus was old!?? Pah! Rubbish!

😀

So, is Daedalus going to have any qualms about his… cannibalistic resurrection? Or is he a ‘dog eat dog, devil take the hindmost’ sort of guy?
