Regrets
So I was at an open house for an art school I was thinking of taking a workshop at this summer and there was a guy out front using a brush pen to draw some amazing comic book art. So I thought I’d get one and see if I could channel some of that awesomeness. I think I had mixed results. Brush pens are very sensitive to pressure, so you can’t just dig into the page like you can with technical pens.
Also, this week’s vote incentive is something I created to test a program I’ve been writing for the day job. 3D is a whole different realm of art.

It’s really cool to see you still playing with the line weight even after switching to drawing on physical media, and I think the results are pretty good! 😀
( I just noticed, but shouldn’t the positions of Kim’s hands be switched on his rifle? 🙂 )
I think you’re right. He’s right handed, so he would aim with his left hand. When I draw that panel, I was thinking he was right handed, so put it on the right side.
Actually, when I drew that panel, I was thinking: That head is enormous. How do I tweak the shoulders to fix it?
Actually, I take that back. A right handed person would fire from the right side. Or at least Kim does.
Wouldn’t a right-hander pull the trigger with their right hand? I know I do. 😛

I was chatting with someone else, and they said they were right handed and liked to hold it on their right side. I don’t know, I’ve never used a long gun before.
To me right handed makes more sense, since I would imagine that aiming would be more difficult than pulling the trigger. But I’m just guessing at this.
Okay, I think I see it now: the problem isn’t the side of the body, but the hand being used. I don’t think I can fix that without redrawing the page, though.
I don’t think you need to worry at all about redrawing it. 🙂
big thing to remember is that which ever shoulder the gun is being put against is usally the same hand thats on the trigger 😛 something to keep in mind for the future
