Just what are they caught in the middle of? This is a really nice, quiet moment to wonder at how this whole story’s going to unfold. 🙂
And it’s pretty, to boot. Did you add the stars digitally?
Sort of. I’m too timid to paint in large areas of black on the originals, so I’ve been adding the solid blacks digitally. I was planning to fill in the sky and then place the stars by hand, but it just worked out that the scanning errors surrounded themselves with pools of white when I added the mask. I thought they looked nice as they were, so I just left them in.
It’s really, really cool that they came out like that by happenstance. I wish all scanning errors looked that good! 😀
