Cluttered Room
So, I finally got my new computer up and running, finally was able to get enough time to draw the next few strips, I go to scan them into the computer – only to discover that my scanner is not compatible with my new OS! After several hours of attempting to install the drivers, I finally gave up and installed everything on a broken old laptop. I have a new scanner on order, but will be keeping my fingers crossed that I can keep this up until it arrives.
Also, trying out a new technique here. This is my first page using brush and ink. It’s a little hard to control, but it’s probably the easiest way I’ve found yet to lay down lines.

Wow, I’ve never heard of a total lack of drivers for a given piece of hardware before. Just how old is that scanner your using?
There are drivers for it, but they just don’t want to install on my machine. My old machine was 32 bit and my new one is 64 bit, so that might make the difference.
Part of the problem is that oversized flatbed scanners are expensive! Mustek makes some that are in the $200 range, but every other company that makes them prices them around $2000. That’s more than I paid for my new computer. I just hope the drivers for my upgraded scanner are compatible with my new OS.
Oh, and I’m currently using a Mustek ScanExpress A3 1200 USB. It’s not very old, but from what I’ve read in websites the product line itself is old.
