So I spent nearly all of Saturday watching a Civilization 5 let’s play on YouTube. I hate it when I do that. The Civilization series has got to be one of the most addictive games out there. Back in university I spent far too many days playing it when I ought to have been studying. It’s a lot of fun, but the game takes too darn long! A full game can easily run two days. And while it does require a lot of strategy and planning, the vast majority of your time is spent in routine city maintenance and upgrades.

I had to put a Civilization 2 moratorium on myself just to return to being a productive member of society again. Looks like I might have to do that with YouTube demos too. Still, it looks like a great game.
