Playing around with SAI some more. Trying a few new ideas design-wise. Think I may have gone a little overboard on the shading.

🙂 April’s line in the 2nd panel reminds me of a story I wrote with a human and a very young dragon looking down into a moonlit valley:
Emily(human): “Such and beautiful and peaceful scene!”
Wraith(dragon): “Yeah; but that fox is going to go home hungry if he doesn’t learn to stalk more quietly.”
Emily: “What fox??”
I think your shading is basically working quite well. My only concern is that the transitions seem a bit streaky on April’s legs and tail in the last panel. Otherwise you seem to be picking up SAI nicely!
Thank you! Yeah, it is a bit streaky. Something to keep in mind for next time.
The dragon in your story sounds like a wise creature.
With the wrinkles/creases around her eyes, it really looks like April has had enough of this crap for one night! Also, I believe it’s SOLDIERS, solder is something I use to fix electronics, or plumbing- if it’s acid-core type… stuff. One last thing, would Joel prefer a monstrous dog (Great-Dane) instead of a undead dog-monster, or would he be terrified regardless?
Fixed. With solder.
Yeah, April’s having a rough night. Not only did an undead dog beast dissolve on top of her, but she has to put up with the two goats too.
Well, at least she can say “you old goat” as a literal insult now.
Just caught up. How often does this comic update?
At the moment, on Mondays. It’s varied as my amount of free time has varied.
Thank you.
Wait, does this mean zombie soldiers too? Run away! x(
